With a small retail and office space, this 30 year old fine art gallery had just passed on ownership to a new director. She wanted a fresh look that showcased perfectly the artwork for sale yet provided abundant room for a two+ person work space and a client or two to sit, relax and spend. I fought hard for the wall color - fundamental to a room filled mostly with 19th century gilt-framed paintings - because I wanted maximum contrast, as if they were drawing away from the room's perimeter. The custom-designed workspace functions perfectly as two desktops, pass-through vertical art storage, art/book display and archive filing. The client is so pleased that she brings the furnishings on the road to the international art fairs where she exhibits. We're proud to be among the top interior designers in Boston.
